Umbrella of Faith

Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, "May you never bear fruit again!" Immediately the tree withered. When the disciples saw this, they were amazed. "How did the tree wither so quickly?" they asked. Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done."

Faith

The minister called for an hour of prayer in the town square on Saturday and requested everyone bring an object of faith for inspiration.

At high noon the townspeople turned out en masse with anxious faces and hopeful hearts, clutching holy books, crosses, and rosaries in their prayerful hands.

After an hour, a soft rain began to fall. The crowd cheered, holding their treasured objects high in praise and gratitude.

From the middle of the crowed, one faith symbol seemed to over shadow all the others.

A small nine year old child had brought an umbrella.

Faith is the only foundation to build your life.
